Aspire All-Star Tournament provides platform for COLBC Players & Coaches!

As the Basketball England Aspire Programme moves into its final phases, the culmination is the All-Star Tournament at the National Basketball Performance Centre.

The City Of Leeds programme is already buoyed by both Katie Lamond & Jake Shuttlewood being selected as key members of staff for the North for the third year in a row. We are also excited by player representation in both the boys and girls representative squads.

The North U15 Girls will see no less than 3 of our young female athletes take to the floor. This is just reward for the hard work of Pearline Boating, Sophie Conroy and Zoe Nathaniel, all of whom have contributed significantly to the successes of our U16 & U18 Women’s League Championship squads this season.

Sonny Jordan will also lace up for the North U13 Boys and the club wishes them every success in what will be an exciting weekend of basketball in Manchester.

COLBC Director Matt Newby was proud when the teams were announced:

“Traditionally, we have had representation within the Regional selection squads and I am excited at the prospect of our young people being the beneficiary of the experiences that the All-Star Tournament Competition brings. Critically, it is an opportunity for our athletes to pit themselves against the very best from other regions and represent the North of England. This is always a great marker for our programme both from a coaching and player perspective, and it’s great to see us involved on so many levels."
