Performance Pathway 

The City of Leeds Basketball Academy provides a rich academic and sporting environment for post-16 students.

 

Based at Allerton High School in Leeds West Yorkshire, the programme is tailored for those student athletes who wish to marry studying their A-Level or BTEC qualifications with an outstanding performance environment.  The 6th Form at Allerton has a diverse portfolio of subject areas, coupled with exceptional teaching and a genuine student-centred approach.

Forging Academic and Sporting Pathways

Allerton High School is highly regarded throughout Leeds and Yorkshire and continues to deliver excellence at the post 16 level. We understand making the right choice is important to students and parents alike and furthermore understand the increasing academic demands on young people.  In their last OFSTED (December 2018) the school was awarded "Outstanding".  With the inspectors stating how impressed they were with the students at Allerton with comments including: " Pupils are making outstanding progress" and "the behaviour of your students is outstanding".  Further compliments included, "pupils are friendly, articulate and self confident" and "students in the sixth form are excellent role models around the school."

With highly credible A2 results in 2017: 22% of students achieved A* to A grades, 51% achieved A* to B Grades and 73% would achieve A* to C grades.  The average accruement of UCAS points stands at 300 per pupil.  With over 30% annually securing a place at a Russell Group institution.
